How an online consultation works

  1. 1. Choose who to talk to

Compare study-abroad counsellors by experience, languages, price and reviews from people who finished a session.

  2. 2. Pick a time and say what you need

Choose a slot from their live calendar and describe your question. You pay once, when you book.

  3. 3. Talk on video

Join from your browser or the YoPro Android app. No meeting links to chase, no phone tag.

Before your call

  • Your marksheets, and any test scores so far.
  • A rough budget, and how you plan to fund it.
  • Countries or universities you're already considering.
  • Your SOP draft, if you have one.

Your payment is protected

You pay when you book, and YoPro holds it — the study-abroad counsellor isn't paid yet. If they decline or cancel, you get it all back. After the session you have 72 hours to tell us if something went wrong.

Questions people ask

When should I start planning to study abroad?

Twelve to eighteen months before your intake is a comfortable start. It leaves time for tests, shortlisting, applications and funding.

Can a counsellor review my SOP?

Yes. Share your draft and talk it through: what to cut, what to strengthen, and how it reads to an admissions team.

Do counsellors earn commission from universities?

On YoPro you pay for the session. It's fair to ask any counsellor whether universities also pay them for the students they refer.

How much does it cost to talk to a study-abroad counsellor on YoPro?

Each study-abroad counsellor sets their own price, from ₹100 to ₹50,000 a session, and you see it before you book. You pay once, and YoPro holds the payment until the session is done.

How long should I book?

Sessions are 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. The shorter ones suit a single question; book 45 or 60 for a first consultation, or anything with several documents to go through.

What if the session doesn't go as expected?

You have 72 hours after the session to tell us you're not satisfied, and our team looks at what happened before any money is released. If the professional declines or cancels, you're refunded in full.
